Fatuma is a married woman with two school-going children. They live at their own house in Msambweni (Kenya) that has electricity but no piped water. Her greatest monthly expenses are food and school fees. She operates a business selling khangas (a cloth for women), selling from door to door to her neighbors and passersby. She faces a major challenge of lack of capital to expand her business. With the loan she is requesting, she wants to purchase bales of khangas for resale.
