Hellen is a married mother of four children from the Chuka area of Kenya. She practises dairy, poultry, and horticultural farming on her one acre farm. To grow her income, Hellen also engages in the cereal business which involves arranging logistics of getting farm products from local farmers to their buyers. Over the 30 years that she has been a farmer, she has learnt a lot about the business and how to generate extra income. Hellen is seeking a loan to buy cereals from local farmers. This investment will enable her move more products to the market, which will free local farmers to focus more on production and uplift the livelihood of her family.
